EN1090 Standard:
EN1090 is the standard of steel structure under CPR of building materials regulation in CE certification.
The standard was implemented on September 1, 2012, the old standard was completely abolished on July 1, 2014,
and EN1090 began to be enforced. The EU stipulates that since July 1, 2014, all steel structures must obtain EN1090 certificate before entering EU market.
The standard has three parts:
EN 1090-1:2009+A1:2011 (Steel and Aluminum Structures - Part: Basic Requirements for Conformity Assessment of Structural Components) (Instruction Standard)
EN 1090-2: 2008 (Steel and Aluminum Structures - Part II: Technical Requirements for Steel Structures) (Non-directive Standards)
EN 1090-3: 2008 (Steel and Aluminum Structures - Part III: Technical Requirements for Aluminum Structures) (Non-directive Standards)
Key points of EN1090 certification:
EN1090 certification is an audit of the steel structure enterprise system. It mainly examines the quality control ability of enterprises. It mainly includes: welding personnel qualification, material certificate, quality control documents, welding system establishment, product testing.
EN1090 certification process:
1. Enterprises submit applications to certification bodies and provide factory information.
2. The certification authority evaluates and gives detailed certification schemes and working arrangements.
3. Certification bodies arrange steel structure engineers to conduct standard training and guidance in enterprises, so as to facilitate the smooth progress of later work.
4. Enterprises submit factory and product information according to the requirements of certification bodies, and make corrections according to the rectification report given by Eurotest.
5. Enterprises arrange relevant welders to participate in the training and assessment of welders; if the factory does not have a qualified material certificate, the organization will assist in testing and issuing.
6. Product testing
7. Certification bodies arrange auditors to conduct on-site audits and issue audit reports.
8. After the examination and approval, the certification authority submits technical documents and relevant certificates to the issuing agency, and the issuing agency examines, records and issues certificates.
9. Certification bodies instruct enterprises to label and paste.
EN1090 is the standard of steel (aluminium) structure under the Regulation of Building Materials Regulation (EU) No. 305/2011-CPR in CE certification.
The EN1090 standard covers:
Building and Civil Engineering: Building Materials, Components, Systems, etc.
Prefabrication system: house, garage, tower (wind energy equipment, etc.), derrick, etc.
